layouts | Doodlebug design DT

Hi there,
today I'm sharing a couple of layouts using the new fairy tales collection
Don't you think that this collection is just so adorable !!

For my first layout, I was thinking bright, fun happy
and the great thing about this collection you can use it for any kind of layout really it doesn't have to be birthday
The first patterned paper I chose for the border of my layout just popped behind the white cardstock it so reminded me of a big lolly pop
Then I thought I would really like to have flowers on my layout so I used one of the cut files I designed and backed it with patterned paper using pink and green

Here you can view my process video

I also cut a few shapes in different sizes out of the patterned paper and did some layering
I added brads to add dimension and a different texture to the layout along with machine stitching around the border

I cut a few pendant bits of patterned papers to tuck behind my photo and adding the flowers on 2 corners of my photo

I used a few different alphas to create my title in the same colours
As well as a die cut from the odds and ends pack

Product used
5608 fairy tales this and that cardstock sticker
2360 bright assortment chunky brads
093 bright assortment mini brads
5598 fairy tales odds and ends
5635 rainbow ribbons
5634 pixie dust
5639 magical unicorns
5643 princess polka-dots
5641 rainbow love
5433 citrus gingham linen
For my second layout
I was inspired to use this hot air balloon after drawing it to use as a cut file. I started by backing it with rainbow love
Then I backed my white cardstock on to over the rainbow

Then I used the bright assortment doodle twine in yellow and separated the yellow
and the white using 2 strands of twine to hand stitch the balloon

For the basket I used the light purple magical unicorns and add a another cut file flower and popped a little cute unicorn in the basket
Adding a rainbow heart sprinkle in the middle and I also backed the little ribbons on the side of the basket with pixie dust

I then added my photo to the side of the balloon
I used one of the word die cuts from the odds and ends pack for my title

I add die cut clouds at the top of my balloon ,so cute don't you think!!

Then lastly I added a few little dots from sweet treats shape sprinkles

Product used
2983 bright assortment doodle twine
5550 rainbow hearts shape sprinkles
5551 sweet treats shape sprinkles
5598 fairy tales odds and ends
5636 over the rainbow

I hope I have inspired you to not only to use this collection for birthdays

Hello Layout | Kaisercraft DT

Hi their,
This month at Kaisercraft the new April challenge is a mood board using the new indigo skies
So pop on over check it out, so here is my take on the challenge
I went with a clean design

I started with white cardstock adding patterned paper behind my cardstock
A photo of my daughter eve using Snapchat
I wanted to add fussy cut flowers and embossed stamps on vellum
So I used my cut file flowers to help make the page pop with that dark blue layering them in 2 corners of my photo
And. Tucking die cuts and heat embossed flowers in the clusters and adding the pearls to the centres

Here are some close ups

Grateful Layout | Kaisercraft DT

Hi there ,
Today I'm sharing this weeks layout for Kaisercraft out DT challenge was to create a boy theme layout
I must admit I'm not that great at boy layouts as I don't have any boy children
So my girls like pink and lots of it ... so I ended up using a photo of my hubby
As he was was walking I got this shot..he hates his photo being taken cause he reckons he can't smile properly lol I always laugh at him when he says that

So my layout was simple I went with triangles with a machine stitch edge
Pointing up and down

Layering them over the top of one another

Then I added the photo in the middle

Then embellished with wood flourishes, stickers ,die cut cardstock bits and a flick of mist

Feel beautiful today layout

Hi there,
Today I'm sharing a layout I created with oh my heart from pink paislee
Totally inspired by Ashley Horton love her layouts
Love the fringe look on a layout...

So with this layout I've created a few things to go with it like a A4 template for those who don't have a cutting machine a 12x12 template and silhouette studio file

All the fringing was done using just scissors
I embellished with die cuts from the ephemera pack , puffy stickers

I used a die cut as my title and puffy stickers around it

I used the floral die cuts to cluster around the photo and at the right hand corner of the heart

I also added some stickers from the thickers to the photo and at the top and bottom of my layout
I added a gold foil heart sticker to the photo

I hope you have enjoyed my layout inspiration this week

Craft space ideas |Doodlebug DT

Hi there ,
Anita here with you today sharing sharing how I stored my doodlebug
Products.... my scrap studio is not very big

I keep most of my product on this pegboard so I can see what I want to use
And right beside that I have a cubed shelf that I keep a few things on to make it pretty..

Beside that on the wall is a big chicken wire heart made of chipboard
that I keep cards I've made

On the top 2 shelves I have washi tape in little boxes
I made and covered in gift paper

Here I keep my Jewels ,twine and sprinkles
In these cute tin baskets

I also have a little space on my desk on one side of the room
Just playing with doodlebug product .. my desk goes around 3 walls of my studio

And on the other side of my room on my desk is where I film
My creative process videos .. you may notice I like plants the humidity in my studio seems to help strike cuttings..

I have a shelf above my desk for filming where I keep all my
Cardstock , albums and stencils ..
