butterfly frame | prima marketing DT

Hi there,
Today I’m sharing a pretty butterfly frame for prima for Finnabair week
It was a really fun project to make as soon as I started with the frame I knew I wanted to use lots fun sparkly paint ..

I started with a old frame that I got for a dollar at the secondhand store
I used the heavy white gesso as I wanted the frame to be a shabby chic frame and covered it with 3 coats and using the IOD Mould and Prima paper clay I done 4 of the lovely corners and adhered them down while they were still damp and give it another coat of heavy white gesso then I aloud it to dry

Once dry I then used the rose gold on the frame and the vintage rose on the IOD clay mouldings
After the paint was dry I cut patterned paper to fit in the frame from the heaven sent 2 Collection
Using my cameo I cut out a butterfly and painted it with some white impasto paint and then I used some of the vintage rose paint and lightly brushed it on the wings then backed it with vellum adding that soft colour
Then I popped it up off the frame with some cardboard giving it a bit of dimension
Next I fussy cut some flowers out and die cut crochet doily

I added the big beautiful flower in the center with the gold sprigs and using some glue a line of glitter around the edges of the butterfly and then I added a rhinestone in each corner then I added little flowers at the top and bottom of the butterfly...

Love you Layout

Hi there,
Happy Friday I enjoyed the afternoon by watching Netflix and scraping
Something that seems to be my thing lately so I had these 2 photos of my daughter Kara
She’s growing up so fast and I feel like the months going so fast it’s October already that means only 2 months left of year 11 I can’t believe it’s went so fast

I matted my cardstock on patterned paper and machine stitched around the border
With a grid design in mind I wanted to add a few squares as I’m using 3x4 photos
And wanted the design to fit in a square

I die cut 2 squares to go opposite sides of the photos and and added a few fussy cut flowers and a arrow I cut out using the leftover frame from the arrow sticker

I used the same colours of patterned papers behind both photos
Creating that duplicated look

I cut one of the squares using a leftover scrap of patterned paper that I cut a circle out of
I added part of my title in the middle

I absolutely love when you are looking through the photos on your phone and find cute photos you’re kiddies have taken .. with this layout I wanted to use lots of pink but just enough to not over do it..

And machine stitched around the border. Then I cut out a stocking with a flower I had designed
Next I added patterned papers behind the design I used one of those cut little cookie stickers for the center of the flower

Then after adding the stocking to my layout I add my photo matted on patterned paper and tucked a doily underneath the photo then I added a cluster of different die cuts, heart sticker and cute Christmas tree clip
And tucking a tab sticker from the sticker sheet at the top

Then next I added the Christmas title from the odds and ends pack and the rest of the title from the sticker sheet

Thankful pumpkin layout | Prima Marketing DT

Hi there,
Today I’m sharing a layout created for prima marketing using the fabulous fall collection Amber Moon
This layout is all about my pop whose farmed his whole life he’s in his 80’s and doesn’t let that stop him
When I was young I spent a lot of time in the paddock picking and weeding or just walking the rows with him so I’m very thankful I got to do that with him as I don’t see him a lot anymore as I live away from them..

So I started off with my photo and as I was thinking pumpkins I decided to use a pumpkin cut file I created
For fall projects once I had cut the pumpkin out I back it with the lovely floral patterned paper then used the b side of the patterned paper for the stork popped it up on some cardboard to give it dimension
Then matted my woodgrain patterned paper on the striped patterned paper and stitching a border around the edge and applied the pumpkin to the centre

Then I started adding the embellishments flowers, leaves and die cut leaves
With the die cut leaf I used the paint opal magic gold..I love it cause it gives it a green and gold colouring

Next I added my layers behind my photo keeping it simple with a few bits of paper from the 3x4 and 4x6 journaling card pads and my title from the ephemera pack

Then lastly adding another little cluster of flowers at the bottom of the pumpkin and a few say it with crystals
And a little bit of gesso smudge on the flowers and a bit of a flick on the woodgrain background.

Lovely Layout | Prima Marketing DT

Hi all,
Well today I’m sharing a layout for prima using Amber Moon collection..
I love finding that perfect photo I’ve taken through the year that just pops with the beautiful colours of the Amber Moon patterned papers...I would really love to walk among the trees that turn in fall it must be a really beautiful sight to see but here in au we don’t really have that many trees that do the big change, but I’m hoping to plant some to have that feeling of fall....

So with this layout I was thinking crisp so bright white cardstock with woodgrain, orange tones and some cream with foil , die cutting and embossing a simple layout with layers

I covered some cardstock with the black glitter washi tape and die cut out a bow to add to the top of my layout along with a few strips of patterned paper and die cut from the ephemera pack

I embossed a floral stamped image and added it behind
die cut leaves and fussy cut a floral wreath out to embellish the top left hand corner of my photo
I used one of the flowers and pulled it apart to add the crystals in the center

I added lots of little layers of patterned paper behind my photo
And add a title stapled to the bottom of my photo

Then I add another cluster of embellishments, embossing and diecuts

ocean layout | prima marketing DT

Hi there,
Today I'm sharing a layout using St. tropez .
I love how the blue in this collection just pops with the white cardstock

I always love adding borders around my cardstock by trimming down the cardstock on 2 edges
And backing it on patterned paper, it helps draw the eye to the center and adding colour
I decided on a photo I took off the maloolaba lighthouse cliff edge a shot of the waves crashing on the rocks
I could sit and watch that for hours it's so calming
The striped patterned paper is from the patterned paper with all the strips I cut it in half and added it to the top and bottom of my layout to add more colour to break up the white a bit still have my white space I love

I layered a heap of strips behind my photo using blues ,woodgrain and cream colours to blend with my photo
After adding my photo I added clusters of flowers in the corners of my photo tucking underneath some of my cut file cuts
Giving it that tropical look then I flicked black gesso and added some of those say it with crystals..
Here are some close ups of my layout....

love it layout | prima marketing DT

Hi there,
Today I’m sharing a layout created for prima marketing using the beautiful rose quartz collection collection and the flowers that go with the collection are just absolutely beautiful, I love how the colour just helps make the page pop more

I started with my white cardstock and was going to add some gesso splatter but I thought I would keep this one a really clean design with fussy cutting a big kitty cut out with my cameo and a few other cuts in white cardstock with beautiful clusters of Prima flowers

Here’s some of the close ups of the flower clusters
I love to add a little bit of cotton threads underneath the flowers

Here is another cluster with some ephemera tucked underneath

And I also add some around my photo

Here is a process video of how I created this layout
